…despite everything…

From fundamental research to technologies designed for real-world use.

We connect analytical chemistry, environmental engineering and pilot-scale verification to turn complex environmental questions into practical technological answers.

Our mission

Knowledge becomes useful when it can change reality.

The institute is built around a single continuous path: understand the material, test the hypothesis, verify the process and translate the result into a technology that can work beyond the laboratory.

01

Understand

Frame the environmental problem through evidence, chemistry and context.

02

Verify

Test ideas under controlled conditions and follow what the material actually does.

03

Scale

Move promising solutions through quarter-scale and pilot-scale verification.

02

Research infrastructure

A working base for the entire journey from sample to system.

Laboratory spaces, workshops and scale-up equipment are treated as one interconnected research base rather than separate facilities.

03

Fields of inquiry

Environmental research directed toward higher-value outcomes.

Current work is oriented toward the waste-management hierarchy: preventing waste, extending material use and developing recovery routes before disposal becomes the only remaining option.

A

Fundamental research

Investigating material behaviour, reactions and mechanisms before prescribing a process.

B

Applied development

Designing methods and technological arrangements for specific environmental problems.

C

In situ / ex situ

Selecting solutions that work either at the affected location or in a controlled treatment environment.

D

External R&D

Research, verification and technology development for companies facing non-standard material challenges.

04

Verification pathway

One question. Four levels of certainty.

01

Research question

Define the material, risk and desired outcome.

02

Laboratory proof

Measure, compare and establish a reproducible principle.

03

Quarter-scale trial

Expose the solution to process variability and operating limits.

04

Pilot verification

Demonstrate a functional technological route for practice.

05

Protected knowledge

Utility models turn experience into reusable technical value.

The institute holds granted utility models and continues to develop further solutions. Public project detail will be added only after intellectual-property and confidentiality review.

06

Experience

Environmental practice since 1996 informs every new experiment.

The research base grows from practical experience with remediation, environmental geology, industrial cleaning, complex material streams and waste recovery. Historical realizations will be documented as evidence-led case studies.

Research partnership

Bring us the problem that does not fit a standard catalogue.

We work with external organisations on research questions, method verification and the development of practical environmental technologies.
